Natural Stone Cleaning
There’s no denying that natural stone finishes – both interior and exterior – really add a quality feel to a property. To keep natural stone at it’s best, it’s important to employ correct natural tone cleaning techniques.
Non-destructive sandstone cleaning
Natural stones such as sandstone require sensitive, professional cleaning. While it’s sand composition is gorgeous to look at, if it’s not cleaned properly it can erode easily. This can lead to a loss in the attractive fine detail of the stone’s finish, or at worst heavy erosion.
That’s why we don’t use pressure washing in this situation. While pressure washing will leave the stone looking clean, there’s a good chance it will degrade the surface of the stone.
Instead, we use non-destructive soft washing methods which not only leave the sandstone looking sparkling clean but also in the same structural condition as before.
Limestone cleaning
Another difficult stone to clean is limestone. If limestone cleaning is not handled properly it can result in the integrity of the stone being compromised, leading to an expensive repair or even full replacement.
One of the limestone cleaning risks is using a cleaning product with high acidity, which can damage the core of the limestone and damage it for good.
Pressure washing is also rarely appropriate when it comes to limestone cleaning, as it can leave the subsurface vulnerable by removing the fine surface layer of the stone.
As such, the most reliable method for cleaning limestone is our specialist soft washing technique. It treats the root cause of the dirt for a long-lasting finish and ensures your limestone remains undamaged
